隱世師傅: 黎師傅 | The Hidden Master : Master Lai

1) 黎志文師傅——廿五載太極路,以「動」對抗歲月

我是黎志文。從 2000 年起步,我在陳式太極的世界裡已鑽研了 25 個春秋。
從舞蹈到太極的體悟 求學時期,我曾習中國舞。後來轉向太極,是因為我深信:人必須『動』。關節若不動,身體便會『鎖死』,百病叢生。我 45 歲開始習武,雖已二十五載,但若能更早起步,境界定能更高。武術與任何運動一樣,年資與勤奮是水平的基石,唯有持之以恆,方能見其深奧。
歲月無聲,體魄有證 常有人問我:『黎師傅,你練太極與不練的朋友有何分別?』 分別就在於這 71 載的生命狀態。我身邊同齡的朋友,有的不幸中風,有的需拐杖助行,有的甚至已撒手人寰。而我,依然能保持身體靈活,挑戰高難度動作。
去年的體檢報告更給了我一份亮眼的成績單:在血壓、血糖、血脂這『三高』指標上,我完全達標。唯獨膽固醇因飲食習慣稍稍超標,這提醒了我:除了運動,飲食亦要自律。
隨處起步,受益終身 很多人誤以為練太極需要廣闊場地,其實不然。無論是公園的一角,還是家中的客廳,只要有心,處處皆是道場。我希望以我的經驗告訴大家:趁年輕,早起步。別等身體發出警號才行動,太極將是你對抗歲月、守住健康最好的投資。」

1) 25 Years of Vitality Through Tai Chi

“My name is Lai Chi-man. Since the year 2000, I have dedicated myself to the art of Chen-style Tai Chi. For 25 years, this practice has been the cornerstone of my life.
From Dance to Martial Arts My appreciation for movement began in my student days with Chinese dance. I eventually transitioned to Tai Chi because I realized a fundamental truth: the human body is designed to move. When we remain sedentary, our joints ‘lock up,’ leading to discomfort and decline. While I started at 45, I always tell my students that the best time to start is even earlier. In martial arts, your ‘seniority’ and the frequency of your practice are the keys to reaching higher levels of mastery.
A Living Contrast People often ask, ‘Master Lai, what is the difference between you and your friends who don’t practice?’ At 71 years old, the difference is stark. Many of my peers are struggling—some have suffered strokes, others rely on canes to walk, and sadly, some are no longer with us. Many live with chronic knee and joint pain. Thanks to Tai Chi, I am fortunate to maintain a level of physical fitness that allows me to perform demanding movements with ease.
Evidence in Health My biennial medical reports tell the same story. Last year’s results showed perfect levels for blood pressure, blood sugar, and lipids. Although a small spike in cholesterol reminded me to watch my intake of trans fats, my overall health remains excellent—a direct result of 25 years of consistent practice.
Your Space, Your Practice There is a common misconception that Tai Chi requires a massive training hall. In reality, you can practice anywhere—a corner of a park or even your own living room. My mission is to inspire you to start early. Don’t wait for your body to break down. Tai Chi is an investment in your future self, and I am here to show you the way.”

2) 黎師傅——山林與太極的半世紀修行

「除了太極,山林是我另一處修行之地。從 20 歲到 70 歲,我的行山歲月已跨越半個世紀。
很多人問我,行山與太極有何關係?我認為兩者是**『相輔相成,動靜共生』**:
  • 以太極養山行: 行山路面崎嶇,考驗平衡。太極的『坐馬』與『單腳獨立』訓練,讓我的下盤極為穩固。即便在碎石路或落樓梯時,我也能保持重心在後,步履如冰上行,穩重而不易跌倒。
  • 以山行壯太極: 森林裡的負離子與新鮮空氣是最好的養分。長途跋涉 4 至 7 小時,能鍛鍊心肺與腿部耐力。在山野間,我常觀察後輩的行山姿勢,糾正『內八』或『外八』的錯誤步態,這便是將太極的正位觀念應用於日常生活。
意志與體能的鍛鍊 行山亦是一場對內臟器官的訓練。在長達 6、7 小時的山路上,透過調節飲水頻率,我訓練自己的身體規律,增強腎臟與膀胱的功能。即便 70 歲,我仍能帶領隊伍挑戰如『八仙嶺』等高難度路線,全程數小時不需急於如廁,這便是深層的體能掌控。
運動不應只是流汗,更應是了解身體的重心與節律。不論是八仙嶺的巔峰,還是公園裡的推手,我都希望將這套『平衡之道』分享給每一位同行者。」

2) Master Lai — 50 Years of Balance in Nature

“Tai Chi is my foundation, but the mountains are my classroom. Since the age of 20, I have been an avid hiker. Now, at 70, I look back on 50 years of trekking through nature, and I see how hiking and Tai Chi have become two sides of the same coin.
I call this the ‘Synergy of Motion’:
  • Tai Chi for the Trails: Hiking requires immense balance on uneven terrain. The ‘horse stance’ and single-leg stability learned in Tai Chi provide me with a rock-solid base. Whether descending steep stairs or navigating rocky paths, I keep my center of gravity low and slightly back—unlike runners who lean forward—ensuring I never stumble or lose my footing.
  • The Mountain for the Soul: Hiking provides the aerobic endurance that complements the slow movements of Tai Chi. In the fresh air of the forest, I breathe in negative ions that rejuvenate the lungs. As a leader of hiking groups, I often observe the posture of those ahead of me, helping them correct ‘in-toeing’ or ‘out-toeing’ to prevent long-term joint damage.
A Mastery of the Internal Long-distance hiking—sometimes 6 to 7 hours—is also a trial of internal discipline. By regulating water intake and syncing my body to a natural rhythm, I have strengthened my internal systems, including kidney and bladder health. Even at 70, leading a group through the challenging ridges of Pat Sin Leng, my body remains disciplined and resilient.
For me, exercise is about more than just moving; it is about ‘precision of posture.’ Whether I am leading a group up a mountain or teaching a Tai Chi form, my goal is the same: to help you move with stability, strength, and longevity.”

3) 黎志文——動靜之間,啟發創新智慧

我常說,我只是一個熱愛生活的普通人。但習練太極二十五年,帶給我的不僅是強健的體魄,更是敏銳的身心連結。
從拳法到發明:太極對大腦的啟發 很多人認為太極只是肢體運動,我卻在實踐中發現,太極的『靜心』與『專注』能極大提升思考的維度。一個實質的證明是:在 2018 年,我成功研發並獲批了一項關於『濾水壺』的發明專利。這項成果也讓我榮幸地受邀擔任『香港發明創新總會』的理事。
這份專利對我而言,不只是個人的成就,更是太極對大腦益處的最好證明。太極能幫助我們排解雜念,讓大腦保持靈活與清明,這正是發明創新最需要的特質。
我以自身的經歷告訴大家,太極不只能養生,更能養心、養腦。透過這門藝術,你可以保持二十歲的創意與活力,即便身處七十載的人生歲月。」

“I see myself as an ordinary person, yet Tai Chi has empowered me to achieve extraordinary things. My 25-year journey in this art has taught me that the balance we find in our bodies directly translates to the clarity we find in our minds.
From Martial Arts to Invention: A Sharper Mind There is a profound connection between the meditative focus of Tai Chi and cognitive sharpness. I am living proof of this: in 2018, I was granted a formal patent for an innovative water filtration pitcher. This achievement led to my current role as a Director of the Hong Kong Federation of Invention and Innovation (HKFII).
To me, this patent is more than just a technical milestone; it is tangible evidence that Tai Chi keeps the brain young and creative. By practicing Tai Chi, we clear the ‘mental clutter,’ allowing for the kind of innovative thinking required for invention.
